By: Technologists like Mitch Resnick, inventor of the Scratch Programming Language, Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, and Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, have voiced support for teaching kids to learn coding. Successful immigrants like Ali & Hadi Partovi, the founders of code.org, have discussed how programming has positively impacted their lives.
There are also examples of young kids who have learned to code and want to inspire their peers to pursue a similar path due to how much they are enjoying their journey into the wonderful world of technology.
It’s important to hear and see these stories to understand how learning to code can have a huge impact on the world when people learn how to give instructions to machines so that they can efficiently and effectively accomplish difficult tasks.
Given the large number of difficult problems in the world, it is important that we continue to build awareness about what computer programming is all about. Through this discovery, our hope is that more and more students will give coding a try. With awareness and trial, we will see more solutions from those across the world who decide to solve challenging problems by leveraging technology.
